Shine

I'v been in sessions with a life couch, which has been a blessing.
She knows just the right questions and every sessions with her unearths new things.
She gave me this to read:

It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other
people won't feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of
God that is within us.

It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.

—Marianne Williamson

We began to discuss my strengths and weaknesses, and to be honest I easily can focus only on what i'm not "enough" in. This is when she gently but sternly said: Ashley it is time for you to shine!!!!
The power goes out.
We both giggle in the silence and darkness.
She says it again: It is time for you to shine!!!
The power comes back on.
It's not a coincidence. I don't believe in those.
I believe in divine moments that are sent to awaken us.

So how do I live out shining? How do you?
By not down playing whats good and beautiful about us for a start.
If you don't know, then start there...

Here are some questions to journal about:
-What can I do to feel more powerful right now?
-What do your friends ask you to help them with?
-What part of myself do I wish to experience now?

I am learning to make choices that nourish my heart and therefore allow me to be BIG in this world.
Because playing small serves no one.
But being deeply me is a gift.
Wouldn't you want those around you to be genuinely them? Start by calling it forth in yourself.
